We are looking for a 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿 (𝗘𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗔) to lead and sign off Environmental Authorisation processes for renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
* Lead Basic Assessment and Scoping/EIA processes in line with NEMA (2014 EIA Regulations, as amended).
* Coordinate and review specialist studies (biodiversity, palaeontology, heritage, etc.).
* Compile legally defensible Basic Assessment Reports (BAR) and EIA Reports.
* Manage public participation and stakeholder engagement.
* Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and permitting requirements.
* Mentor and guide internal environmental officers and junior staff.
𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
* Registration with EAPASA (valid registration number required).
* 3–5+ years’ experience in Environmental Authorisation processes.
* Strong knowledge of NEMA, 2014 EIA Regulations, EMPr requirements.
* Experience with renewable energy (solar, wind, battery storage) advantageous.
* Excellent report writing, project management, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
