Stibium Mine

Limpopo, Limpopo

Stibium Mine is SolarXgen's largest project to date — a massive 5,068.1 kWp (5MW) ground-mount solar installation serving mining operations in Limpopo. Using Jinko 575W modules paired with Sungrow 350kW inverters, this system was commissioned on 8 May 2025 and is monitored via Sungrow iSolarCloud. Mining operations have exceptionally high, consistent energy demands, making this 5MW solar plant an ideal complement to grid and genset power. The installation dramatically reduces the mine's reliance on expensive diesel generators and grid electricity, delivering substantial cost savings while significantly reducing the operation's carbon footprint.
