Stibium Mine
Gravelotte, Limpopo
Stibium Mine is SolarXgen's largest project to date — a massive 5,068.1 kWp (5MW) ground-mount solar installation serving mining operations in Gravelotte, Limpopo. Using 8,814 Jinko Solar 575W modules paired with 14 Sungrow 350kW inverters, this system generates over 8.7 million kWh annually with an outstanding performance ratio of 83.10%. Commissioned on 8 May 2025, the installation is monitored via Sungrow iSolarCloud. Mining operations have exceptionally high, consistent energy demands, making this 5MW solar plant an ideal complement to grid and genset power. The installation dramatically reduces the mine's reliance on expensive diesel generators and grid electricity, delivering substantial cost savings while significantly reducing the operation's carbon footprint.
